The Associate Team Program

An Associate Team is a joint research project established between an Inria team and a research team abroad for a period of three years. Both partners jointly define a scientific objective, a research plan, and a bilateral exchange program.

Under the Franco-Chilean Binational Center on Artificial Intelligence, an initiative operated by Inria Chile, Franco-Chilean Associate Teams will be selected in line with the Center’s priority areas:

  • Foundational and Agentic AI

  • Safe AI

  • AI Orchestration, Frugal and Edge

  • AI-Accelerated Science

  • AI AdoptionThe Associate Teams Program

The budget allocated to an Associate Team covers:

  • Exchanges of researchers, engineers, postdoctoral fellows, doctoral students, and interns:

    • Between France and the partner country

    • Between the partner country and France

  • The organization of joint workshops.
