In order to contribute to the transfer of knowledge and promote the link between the productive sector and academia through research, development and innovation projects (R+D+i), Inria Chile is looking for a professional with a doctoral degree, interested in applying to the call of the National Agency for Research and Development (ANID): "Competition for the insertion of doctors in the productive sector, year 2021".

Inria Chile focuses its development in the following lines: artificial intelligence, machine learning and autonomous systems; systems networks and internet of things; data, knowledge, security and confidentiality; modeling and simulation, optimization and control; and interaction, visualization and multimedia.

Those interested should propose a two-year postdoctoral research project to be developed within Inria with the cooperation and support of the center's researchers, with the vision of becoming a permanent member of the Inria team at the end of the project.  We are looking for novel and challenging ideas to be developed in the long term with the prospect of consolidating them into technology transfer actions towards the productive sector.

The proposals need not be circumscribed a priori to a specific topic, however, by way of illustration, we can cite some areas of interest such as: machine learning, causality inference, explainable AI, metaheuristics and evolutionary computation, computer vision, natural language processing, robotics, internet of things, software engineering in the context of AI, human-computer interaction, modeling and simulation, among others.

This person must have a PhD degree at the time of the closing date of the competition application, in computer science, mathematics, engineering and other related areas. The doctoral program pursued can be in a Chilean or international institution that is accredited. The candidate must be a Chilean national or have permanent residence in Chile and, most importantly, a high degree of commitment to science, technology and innovation.

The application for this ANID competition closes on August 12, so we invite you to contact Inria Chile no later than August 5 through the following email to get to know you: oportunidades@inria.cl putting in the subject of your email "Competition insertion of doctors 2021". Do not forget to add to your email your updated CV, a motivation letter (maximum 3 pages) presenting the project you are interested in developing with us and a list of researchers/academics who can act as references.
