“Intelligences”: the central theme of Fête de la Science 2025
From 3 to 13 October 2025, France celebrates Fête de la Science, a nationwide event created in 1991 to bring scientific culture closer to everyone. Over the years it has become a national fixture, attracting close to one million participants each year across 6,000 events—in which Inria plays an active role.
For the fifth consecutive year, the Institut français de Chile is leading the initiative in Chile and, likewise for the fifth year, researchers from Inria Chile will contribute with workshops and talks for students of different levels and ages. In 2025, the theme is “Intelligences”: an invitation to explore the diversity of its forms—human, collective, living and artificial.
Students at the Alliance Française schools in Vitacura and Colina, both in the Metropolitan Region, will discover—through talks, workshops and demonstrations—how artificial intelligence is applied to concrete problems and how research opens new questions and future pathways.

Artificial intelligence and genomics to understand the oceans and climate change
OcéanIA is an Inria initiative that applies artificial intelligence and mathematical models to study the ocean and its role in the climate. This session uses accessible examples to show how genomic and environmental data can be combined to observe marine biodiversity and detect signals of climate change—explaining why this knowledge is useful for society.
